House of the Saints originated as my main long term painting project focusing on realistic oil painting of every day people who do good deeds. The “house” is an all encompassing place of the the civic art shows, painting, and work that I do. The “saints” are individuals that I focus on and study through painting to be on display at periodic shows.

Traditionally a saint is a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness or likeness or closeness to a god. It is in my belief that the modern description for saint encompasses individuals that do good for humanity through good deeds and selfless behavior without the need for divination. We live with everyday saints working toward the good of our communities, whose good deeds often go silent in the omnipresent negativity.
